Huckleberry Finn
Huck is the main character in the novel. He is just a young boy, but within the novel Huck deals with situations way beyond his maturity level. At the begining of the novel Huck lives with Miss Watson, living a very civilized life. His best friend, Tom Sawyer, takes Huck on all sorts of adventures during the novel. Tom plays a major role in getting Jim out of prison. Jim is another main character within the book. Huck ends up running away with Jim, later on in the novel, until Jim gets captured. Huck never truly had a father, so during the time Huck and Jim spent together they created a father son relationship. Huck helps Jim escape from prison at the end. This is very significant because it shows that even though Huck is just a kid he can still throw societies morals out the window and decide to do whats right even if it is a risk to himself.
